Poco X6 Series:

Poco is teasing the launch of its new X6 Series phones (X6 and X6 Pro) today on Flipkart. The X6 will come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, and the X6 Pro will launch with the Mediatek Dimensity 8300 Processor. 

Amazon Prime:

Amazon Prime has announced that it is planning to introduce ads in its content in the US, UK, Germany, and Canada in early 2024, followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Australia later in the year.

Amazon Prime confirmed that no action is needed from its current subscribers, and there will also be no changes to the pricing of Prime membership. Amazon will only launch a new ad-free subscription tier, which will be available for an additional $2.99 per month in the US for now. Prime Video subscribers can pre-register for the monthly ad-free option but will not be billed until January 29.

Amazon will not be playing Ads on the purchased content. Additionally, Amazon stated that the residents of Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, the Mariana Islands, and American Samoa will not be affected by this change for the time being.

Apple Watch News:

Apple stopped selling its newly launched Watch Ultra 2 and Watch 9 in the US. As per the early rumors, the sales were stopped due to the inaccurate results of the SPO2 because of the sensor.

But as per the latest news, Masimo Health filed a patent violation against Apple. Due to this, Apple stopped selling both products.

Later, both products went on sale again after the federal court temporarily lifted the ban imposed by the International Trade Commission over a patent dispute.

Japan’s government asks Apple to allow third-party apps:

After the European Union, the Japanese government is now asking Apple to allow their users to download third-party apps on their devices. In view of the security risk and credibility, Apple is not accepting the request made by the two governments.

IQOO Neo 9 Series:

IQOO launched its new Neo 9 series phones in China. The IQOO Neo 9 comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and the Neo 9 Pro launched with the Mediatek Dimensity 9300 Processor. 

Both phones come with a 6.78″ 1.5K 8T LPTO Amoled Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for 120W fast charging with a battery capacity of 5160 mAH.

In terms of camera specs, the front camera will be 16MP for both models. The back camera will be 50MP Main + 50MP UltraWide Camera for the IQOO Neo 9 Pro, and for the Neo 9, the back camera will be 50MP Main + 8MP UltraWide.

Moto G34 and G24 News:

Moto is teasing the launch of its new budget-friendly mobile phone Moto G24, which will be launched in January 2024. As per the early leaks, Moto G34 will come with a Snapdragon 695 Processor.

JIO’s BhartGPT:

Akash Ambani, addressing the annual Techfest at IIT Bombay, revealed that JIO is working on a program called BharatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence (GPT), in collaboration with IIT-Bombay as a competitor to ChatGPT.

BhartGPT withholds the ‘Bharatiya linguistic and cultural heritage’ with technological innovation. IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Mandi, IIT Kanpur, IIIT Hyderabad, and IIM Indore will be included in this program. This program will be led by Ganesh Ramakrishnan, a computer science professor at IITB.

Jio Cinema and Disney+ Hotstar merge:

As per the latest news, Reliance’s JioCinema may soon merge with Dinesy+Hotstar. The merge is set to be complete by February. Both the company executives met in London and decided that Reliance holds 51% share and Star India holds 49%.

Pune Municipal Corporation and Google collaboration:

Pune Municipal Corporation partners with Google Maps to pinpoint their 2300+ speed breakers in Pune. An application specifically designed for this purpose will integrate this data. GPS providers will be able to access the speed breaker data through the proposed application, through which commuters can locate speed breakers on specific roads. This information is expected to enhance the overall driving experience, reduce the risk of collisions, and help maintain safe driving speeds.
